সাম্যবাদ ও পুঁজিবাদ বর্তমান যুগের দুটি প্রধান মতবাদ। উভয় মতবাদই চরম পন্থা অবলম্বন করে। ইসলাম এই উভয় মত বাদের মধ্যম পন্থা অবলম্বী ৷ ইসলাম যেমন চরম ব্যক্তিতন্ত্রের বিরোধী এবং ধন-সম্পদ একের হাতে পুঞ্জীভূত করতে নারাজ তেমনি মানবের স্বভাব ধর্মকে অবহেলা করে সাম্যবাদ কায়েমে প্রস্তুত নহে। ইসলাম ধন-সম্পদ যতদূর সম্ভব বিভিন্ন হস্তে সঞ্চালিত করবার স্বাভাবিক ব্যবস্থা করেছে তেমনি প্রতি মানবের খাদ্য-পানীয় ও ৰাসস্থান ব্যবস্থার উত্তম নীতি প্রবর্তন করেছে। লেখক হযরত মির্যা বশীর আহমদ (রা.) ইসলামের সেই প্রকৃত সাম্যবাদ মানব জাতিরকাছে পেশ করেছেন তাঁর এই ক্ষুদ্র পুস্তিকায়।

In Islam and Communism, Hazrat Mirza Bashir Ahmad^(ra) elaborates on the structural and inherent harms of Communism, the problematic wealth inequality that unregulated Capitalism inevitably creates, and the middle path with Islam’s teaching of economic justice. Islam and Communism cites to the Qur’an and Prophet Muhammad’s^(sa) example in establishing its argument that Islam’s model of economic justice is superior to that of Communism and also of unregulated Capitalism.
